what do I think of Engineering practice preparation 1?

I think that EPP1 has introduced me into different ways on how to find jobs in my field and the amount of effort I need to put in to find a job in the Engineering field. The subject provides students with a very detailed guideline on how to create a resume. Different examples of resumes were given to ensure that we can develop a well-presented resume and the resume would include all of our previous work experience and skills gained. The choice of content is essential in the resume as you want to stand out from the other candidates that applied for the same job. Therefore, that would increase your chance the be picked out from other candidates.

Moreover, EPP1 has personally enabled me to develop a further understanding on the important aspects of contributing in the Engineering workforce and it showed me how I can gain experience and manage my time between University and work during my internship period. Time management is crucial, as it is expected from students to working under their supervisor and at the same time submit assignments for University. The subject extends all student's knowledge on how to treat the supervisor they are working under and how essential it gets all the work given by the supervisor to be done to the best of student's ability and on time. the aim of the internship is expanding your knowledge in your field and gain experience. Therefore, showing that to your supervisor would give him or her an expression that you are keen on learning and being successful. EPP1 did also focus on teamwork and outlined that you don't choose your team members and it is important to participate with ideas to come up with a creative plan. Working in a team is challenging and it builds your knowledge in the filed your working in. Also, it expands your way of thinking as you all share ideas and so this gives you more experience.

Overall, EPP1 was a very fun subject and I did learn a lot as an engineer. I did gain a lot of experience in my work field.
