This week we had our first peer review feedback on our portfolios and we had to mark and highlighted all of the mistakes we saw. We all had around 40% of the portfolio done and overall the progress was very promising. A common mistake like presentation, appropriate background pictures and grammar were present in all of our portfolios.
The group followed the sandwich rule in giving feedback to other group members. They are impressed with the overall progress in the portfolio. However, they criticized my choice colour and size of the font in the about me page. My peers said that the font wasn't clear and it was hard for them to read the about me page. Also, they recommend me to put more pictures on the home page to make it more eye catchy to readers and the picture I had was irrelevant to the subject and my Engineering field. they did assist me to find well-presented pictures and I did like what they recommend to me. I did go with their selection and took all their idea on how to improve my home page to attract more readers to my website Also when they were reading my journals they noticed a couple of spelling errors and I had the order of the journals wrong and one of my group members suggested me to use blogs in my journals. He said they looked more professional to the viewers. I did like his idea and I did go with the blog layout in my journal section.
After giving feedback, we started working on improving the portfolios and I had all the comments written down so I wouldn't forget any of them and ensure that I added all the improvements suggested by my teammates. Furthermore, the tutor gave me some feedback as well and overly he said my portfolio was well organised. However, he did recommend me to use another font style and look for a more professional style
